Permissions & device access

Fabrics may request permissions similar to other social apps, including:

  • Notifications – to alert you about messages, comments, or account activity.
  • Approximate location (via IP) – to help keep accounts secure and surface relevant content or ads.
  • Contacts are not required to create a Fabrics account; any future contacts feature would be optional and opt-in.

You can manage or revoke permissions anytime in your device settings. Limiting permissions may affect certain features.
