Account & Data Deletion

Fabrics by Fabrics Media — this page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data, what information is removed, and what may be retained.

How to request account deletion

Option 1 — Inside the app

  1. Sign in to your Fabrics account.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Confirm the deletion request.

Option 2 — Via email

If you cannot access the app, send an email to support@fabricsmedia.com from the email address linked to your Fabrics account with the subject line Delete my Fabrics account.

We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing. If you no longer control the email on the account, include your username and any available identifying details so our support team can review the request safely.

Processing timeline

Once a deletion request is confirmed, your account and personal data will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days. You will not be able to recover your account after processing is complete.

Data that is deleted

The following personal data is permanently removed from Fabrics-controlled systems:

  • Profile information— display name, bio, avatar, date of birth, phone number, and profile links.
  • Private uploaded media— photos, videos, and other files tied exclusively to your account that are not publicly visible.
  • Push notification tokens— device registrations used to send you notifications.
  • Email verification tokens— any pending verification codes.
  • Active sessions— all login sessions are terminated and session data is destroyed.

Data that is anonymized

Some records are anonymized rather than deleted to preserve the integrity of shared content and conversations:

  • Username and email— replaced with non-identifiable placeholders that cannot be linked back to you.
  • Posts and comments— remain visible but are attributed to “Deleted User” rather than your original username.
  • Wardrobe items, folders, and drafts — associated with the anonymized account record.

Data we are required or permitted to retain

Certain data may be kept in anonymized or limited form where legally or operationally required:

  • Anonymized account record— retained for database referential integrity. Contains no personally identifiable information.
  • Transaction and billing records — retained as required by tax and financial regulations.
  • Moderation cases and safety records — retained to support platform safety, enforce community guidelines, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Messages in existing conversations — messages sent to other users remain in their conversation history to preserve the integrity of their data, but your identity is anonymized.
  • Hashed email identifier— a one-way hash of your email address may be retained to prevent fraudulent re-registration. This hash cannot be reversed to recover your email.
