Fabrics – Advertiser & Creator Terms

These Advertiser & Creator Terms (“Creator/Advertiser Terms”) apply to advertising, sponsored/branded content, affiliate posts, and monetization or earnings features on Fabrics (“Commercial Activity”). They supplement the Fabrics Terms of Service and Policies. If there is a conflict, these terms control for Commercial Activity.
1. Key definitions
- Advertiser: an individual or entity placing paid advertisements on Fabrics.
- Creator: an account that posts content and may engage in Commercial Activity.
- Branded Content: content that features, is influenced by, or is created for a brand or business partner in exchange for value (payment, free products, discounts, commissions, or other benefits).
- Affiliate Content: content containing affiliate links or codes that may earn you a commission.
- Sponsored Content: Branded Content or any post that promotes a product or service for value.
- Fabrics Tools: any disclosure labels, ad tools, reporting tools, or brand-partner tagging features we provide.
2. Eligibility and onboarding
- Comply with our Terms and Policies.
- Provide accurate business/creator information where requested.
- Comply with applicable laws and advertising standards.
- Not be subject to enforcement for repeated safety, fraud, or IP violations.
- We may approve, reject, suspend, or remove access to advertising/monetization features in our sole discretion.
3. Mandatory disclosure rules (sponsored, branded, affiliate)
3.1 Always disclose commercial relationships
If your post includes Commercial Activity, you must make that disclosure clear and prominent: easy to understand, unmissable from the first interaction, and present on each promotional piece (e.g., each carousel or multi-part sequence).
3.2 Use Fabrics disclosure features
Where Fabrics provides a disclosure label or “Paid partnership” / “Sponsored” / “Affiliate” tagging feature, you must use it when required.
3.3 Examples of acceptable disclosures
- Ad
- Sponsored
- Paid partnership with {{Brand}}
- Affiliate link / I may earn a commission
3.4 Prohibited disclosure practices
- Relying only on vague tags like “#sp” or “thanks {{Brand}}”.
- Placing disclosures where a reasonable user is unlikely to see them.
- Making deceptive claims about the nature of the relationship.
4. Content standards and brand safety
- All Commercial Activity must be lawful, truthful, not misleading, comply with Community Guidelines, avoid unsafe or exploitative practices, and respect IP rights.
4.1 Prohibited promotions (illustrative)
- Counterfeit goods or infringement.
- Scams, deceptive offers, or “get rich quick” schemes.
- Malware, phishing, or credential harvesting.
- Adult sexual content, sexual services, or explicit nudity.
- Tobacco, vaping, and nicotine products.
- Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia.
- Gambling/betting targeted at minors.
- Extreme dieting, starvation content, or unsafe weight-loss products (especially to minors).
- Weapons or instructions to procure weapons.
- Unlawful discrimination or hate.
4.2 Sensitive and youth protections
- Do not target minors with age-restricted products/services.
- Do not use sexualised imagery, “before/after” body manipulation, or predatory messaging.
- Do not encourage harmful body image behaviours.
5. Advertiser obligations (paid ads)
5.1 Ad review and rejection
All ads are subject to review. We may reject, limit delivery of, or remove ads at any time for any reason, including policy or legal concerns.
5.2 Targeting and personal data
- Do not use targeting prohibited by law or our policies (including sensitive categories where disallowed).
- Do not provide Fabrics personal data you do not have the right to use.
5.3 Landing pages and user experience
- Landing pages must match the claims made in the ad.
- They must be functional and not deceptive.
- They must not include malicious code.
6. Creator monetization and affiliate links
6.1 Affiliate integrity
- Disclose that you may earn a commission.
- Do not misrepresent pricing, availability, or authenticity.
- Do not post affiliate links in spammy or deceptive ways.
6.2 Prohibited incentives and engagement manipulation
- Do not buy engagement or use bot networks to increase reach.
- Do not incentivize votes, saves, follows, or comments deceptively.
- Do not coordinate brigading to manipulate rankings.
7. Payments, earnings, and clawbacks
7.1 Payment terms
- Payouts may be subject to thresholds, verification, and anti-fraud checks.
- Taxes, reporting, and compliance are your responsibility.
7.2 Withholding and reversals
- We may withhold, suspend, reverse, or claw back payments for fraud/deception, manipulated traffic/conversions, policy violations, refunds/chargebacks, or legal requirements.
7.3 No guaranteed earnings
We do not guarantee reach, impressions, clicks, conversions, or earnings.
8. Promotions, contests, and giveaways
- You are responsible for compliance with laws and platform rules, including creating official rules and eligibility requirements.
- You must clearly state that the promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Fabrics unless expressly agreed in writing.
9. Enforcement
- Ad rejection or removal.
- Content removal.
- Reduced distribution.
- Loss of monetization access.
- Account suspension or termination.
- Reporting to authorities where legally required.
10. Updates
We may update these Creator/Advertiser Terms from time to time. Material changes may be notified in-app or by email, where required.
